Knook Stool is a maternal reflection on the banks of the Sandy River, worry stones, and the maidenhair ferns of the Pacific Northwest. Wrapped and upheld by steel roots, the seat is a smooth basswood ovoid, at once both polished driftwood and a smooth river stone. Perhaps the wrapping of roots isn’t just for stability, but because what is near is also dear to them. The seat height stands at 16 inches, allowing two feet on the ground to root oneself
